Just wanted to share another feeling with you guys. So, the story starts with vacation plan for the weekend. and to top up with fun our institution declared 2extra holidays, so the total number of days available for disposal is 4 now. Yippeeee.....
After discussing with few guys at work, one guy was ready to tag along, most of them showed no interest alas. I thought at last my trip is On. Cool. I must be very persuasive ;).
We started planning since then. I have been on a bike trip with him before, has seen his enthusiasm and zeal to plan and work lots of things long before the trip day. But this time things were different. I called him a weekend before the trip to discuss the route plan and other details, surprisingly he postponed by saying I am feeling sleepy will discuss some other day. I tried to cling on by saying we will not get time in office because of work and sites restriction but of no use. So, I thought let it be will discuss in office he wants to sleep let the guy sleep.
Much to my dismay he never came to me. Not even once to discuss. finally the day before the trip I went to him and asked whether he really wants to go on the trip. His reply was much comforting, he said, "I have rented the bike for the trip, have to go and pick it up in 2 hours". Ok, I thought what I can say now. I asked him about the trip route and stay plan he managed well by saying "I will follow you, whatever you say will be a command, so no issues with that". I thought what happened to this guy who always wants to be in charge for the trip is talking like this now. Let's see I thought.
We left office, he said he has to go for bike pick up, I said let me refill the fuel and we left. As soon I reached home around one hour later when we left office got a call from him. He said, "Uncle is feeling some chest pain, I got a call from home and have to leave." I asked if everything ok. He said yes it's just a chest pain I don't know why parents are calling me. Let me go. I didn't even ask for the trip he also didn't have the courage to talk about it upfront. I disconnected the call in 1 minute or so and the trip got spoiled.
I know you may point it out to me saying you could have gone solo. But to tell you the truth, I even tried it. Next morning I woke up as planned and got ready to leave, as I reached my Bike didn't get that vibe to go, till few hours before we two were going, but now it's me ALONE.
